These cinnamon sticks are sourced from Madagascar, where the climate and soil conditions yield a sweeter and more aromatic variety of Ceylon cinnamon, known globally for its superior taste and lower coumarin content.
Cultivation and Harvesting:
Cinnamon trees are grown in tropical plantations and cultivated for several years before harvesting. Once mature, the bark is carefully peeled from the branches, fermented, and sun-dried. It is then machine-cut and hand-rolled into quills of various sizes (5, 8, and 12 cm). Finally, each stick is hand-sorted to ensure uniform quality and appearance.
